Question:
I feel like this is kind of a basic question and one that you might hear quite often and be annoyed with, but it's something that really interested me. When depicted in movies or television, people with multiple personalities are shown talking to themselves. When you conferred with your other personalities, did you have a visual of them? Was it like having a conversation with someone else, or was it more subconscious? Did every personality have a distinctive voice (not just when conversing with other people, but even when conversing with yourself)? Did you have a distinct idea of what everyone looked like (or, rather, how they saw themselves), or was it only when that personality was dominant that he/she could say, "this is what I look like"? |

| Angel's response: Hi ~ I was editing the forum and found this posting that I had somehow missed. So forgive the lateness in responding. I hope that you are still around. Yes, to all of those questions. I didn't necessarily hold a visual while conversing but I did converse the same as I would with you. Out loud, even. I was careful not be seen. You know what they say about people talking to themselves and if you answer yourself then you are really "crazy". Each had a distinct voice but discernable primarily by myself. In class, I referred to a collage that states "We are family" you can find it on the artwork page. These are some of the images of parts. Each had their own image of themselves and goddess help the host if she or he tried to project that image for the whole. We were very separate. Having said that. Keep in mind that every multiple is unique. This was
my experience. |
